The intriguing looking half tail that the American Bobtail Possesses comes as a consequence of a genetic mutation. The tail of the breed is usually 1/3 to 1/2 provided that a common kitty’s tail. The American Bobtail is a crossover between a seal-point Siamese along with a domesticated tabby. Along with the shortened tail is from a genetic mutation similar to the one located from the Manx cat breed. Interesting fact: Urban legends have suggested a theory that the American Bobtail is actually the crossing between a national tabby and a wild bobcat.
